¡Viva San Patricio!... WHO?

St. Patrick’s celebrations. All green; ridiculous Guinness top hats; people drinking… really, who the heck was this St Patrick so many venerate and only few actually know?

Well, I am in this last group of few people; but decided to join the crowds in this ritual-veneration of the Saint of the Beer (as many call him). I have a little twist though: I would drink apple cider instead (if that is OK with you Mr. Saint Patrick. Thankyouverymuch!)

I took a super comfortable big-ass seat bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, with private TV and games and DVDs and music videos and… ooops.. I was already in KL. 5 hours flew by and I did not sleep! Then I spent the whole weekend either sleeping, drinking or eating with my good friend
La Paulina. (¡Gracias por el lindo fin de semana!)

Now, I have a little visual puzzle for ya’ll. What is this? What do you see?

Clues - Pistas
It was taken at night; at an Irish pub; full of people; skin showing here and there; flirtatious smiles and hair tossing all over the place; some hands got out of place; and I found myself in this situation. Once again… what do you see?.

Creative people, I tell you!

This is a TV ad from Argentina created for Brahma. Although I do not like beer much, I think this ad is quite funny.

In fact, this is one thing I miss from Argentine TV: the commercials.

You may say: “What!? Are you insane?. I hate commercials in my country!”

Well, my friend, you would not hate them there in Argentina as they are VERY CREATIVE and funny. People our age (high consumers) have high expectations in terms of the publicity of the products. It is very common for these ads to become the topic of conversations for months, as these creative agencies double or triple their potential revenues for future ads. Very smart!

Enjoy this one... As it is the only one I have so far :)

You jump, I jump...

...and of course you think it’s cool and fun and all you ever wanted. Now, put your courage together and take a look at this video. Let’s see what you think right after you watch it... Especially if you pretend the one in the video is YOU.

It is of an expert sky-diver (who has done 7000+ jumps) whose parachute didn't open and basically had to face a free-falling ride from 12,000 feet. Remarkably, he survived. Better yet, he captured it on his helmet camera (1st video) and a jumper above him captured it as well (2nd video).

Safe and Sound - (Spanish & English)

¡Hola!

Hi!

This is a brief post to confirm that, thanks God, I am OK and working.

You may have heard in the news there was a 6.6 Earthquake that affected the area of Sumatra (420 kms South East from Singapore). Luckily enough we are all OK and no major damage has been reported as of now. Nevertheless, we felt the trembling in our building and some others were evacuated out of safety reasons. (That was not our case)

I thank you all for thephone calls and emails I have received.
