The Singa-loon!
A quick view of what the company I work for does for marketing, branding and fun… all at the same time!

Singapore to house world's largest tethered helium balloon [SINGAPORE]
Singapore will soon be home to a new $2 million attraction. Considered the world's largest tethered balloon, it will be inflated on Wednesday night. It may seem like a strange sight - 40 grown men and women fussing over layers of what looks like plastic. But more than 12 hours of hard work later, it will morph into what's called "The DHL Balloon."
Cleared by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore to fly 40 storeys high, the balloon will start taking passengers on April 27. At $23 for a 10-minute ride for adults, and $13 for children, passengers will be sent floating up into the air on a balcony. They will have a 360-degree panoramic view of the Singapore skyline. Some 250,000 people are expected to take to the skies in its first year, generating some $3 million in tourist receipts.
Manufactured in France, this balloon system is the only one of its kind approved and certified as an aircraft.

Call Centre...
Calling a call centre in Singapore is a fantastic experience. You get to be exposed to a different accent; customer service strategy and music scheme all together. You get to start in a very relaxed and calm mood, and as the conversation passes the 3-5-7-9 minutes you can also see how one moves from that initial calm-relaxed mood to a slightly concerned, nervous and impatient, to end up in a complete outburst of emotions on the verge of the swearing. Great!
End result:
* Chances are the problem you called for is still there, as firm as before.
* You found out you need to pay for either a new permission or need to submit a new fax-letter-email
* And you end up all stressed out
However, the main purpose of this posting is not to bitch about Singapore Call Centres or Customer Service Strategy (I would need more than one posting… or two… or the whole Blogger system). No, this posting is to share a video that I found quite funny (Thanks Stephen for sharing!) It is about 12 minutes long.
Sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy!

A nice come back...
I have been away from the blogging scene for a REAL LONG TIME... however it is always nice to come back and it is even better to do it with good news.
In this ocassion I would like to celebrate the birthday of a new friend. A person I met almost a year ago and grew to be a close friend: caring, fun and gullible (great characteristic in a friend, so you can make fun of him).
Mr. Park, aka PARKIE is turning 34 years old today and I would like to wish him a great day, as well as a great night (that he will spend with us, partying throughout the Singaporean night)
FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS, PARKIE!
