Why does one BLOG?

- I blog
- What?
- I BLOG!
- What’s that?.
And there you go on and on explaining:
- it’s like a journal on line in where you share information and…
I simply blog. I got hooked up back in 2004; as you can see by the archives on this page.
Why do I blog?. Interesting conversation today with the very only Mr Leonard and Ballerman (these days a.k.a. loverboy)
It kept me thinking, there are 1000 reasons why people blog. You can go on for ages trying to find out, but I think the main ones usually are:
* HUMAN NATURE: you want to leave a legacy; you want to share your life with others; you want to make a mini change; you want your life not to pass by unnoticed.
* NETWORKING: by exchanging stories and ideas you generate more business opportunities for you and others.
* FRIENDSHIP: it is a cool way of meeting people on line and sort them by different interests; there is a certain camaraderie that is extra-appealing as well
* FRUSTRATED WRITERS / CREATIVE OUTLET: an amateur approach to writing daily stuff and having a captive audience to please/piss off. If you do not have much creativity in your daily work, this might be an elegant exit to the monotony of your professional life
* BELONGING: you are part of something, in this case an on line community that is shaping the way we interact and exchange information in this new millennium.
* FUN: it is fun! Great past time.
Bottom line: It's a free & easy publishing/learning system which creates new networking opportunities and uniquely impacts the new culture in which we live. We are making it happen. ABC News called bloggers the People of the Year.
On that note, I choose NOMADLIFE (through BLOGGER): it is stable; bloggers here share some common threads and interests; it is a cool interesting way of learning about different cultures FROM people from different cultures. It is a VERY ORGANIC culturally sensitive netork and I like that.
Why else? DUNNO. And as a matter of facts, does it matter? I blog. I simply blog.
Why do YOU blog?

hmm... probably so my friends (who i don't get to see very often + don't write to very often) can see what's up in my life.

I blog because everyone blogs :)))). (c) Sheep 2006
for me it is another dimension of communication with other people. I blog for the public, not for myself.

Well i blog cause first i am addicted to internet and posting your life online is easier than in a diary.... and you can post pics as well.
I also do it casue i don´t write to my friends often, but at the same time i do it as a therapeutical exercise... oh yeah... it is, sharing things help you out to see things from different perspective and also not to carry a heavy luggage while travelling thru life.... i think i read it somewhere.
cheers
