Call Centre...

Calling a call centre in Singapore is a fantastic experience. You get to be exposed to a different accent; customer service strategy and music scheme all together. You get to start in a very relaxed and calm mood, and as the conversation passes the 3-5-7-9 minutes you can also see how one moves from that initial calm-relaxed mood to a slightly concerned, nervous and impatient, to end up in a complete outburst of emotions on the verge of the swearing. Great!

End result:

* Chances are the problem you called for is still there, as firm as before.
* You found out you need to pay for either a new permission or need to submit a new fax-letter-email
* And you end up all stressed out

However, the main purpose of this posting is not to bitch about Singapore Call Centres or Customer Service Strategy (I would need more than one posting… or two… or the whole Blogger system). No, this posting is to share a video that I found quite funny (Thanks Stephen for sharing!) It is about 12 minutes long.

Sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy!

  • I WORK IN A CALL CENTRE!!!!
Although I do now answer the calls, my work is to find ways of improving the Agents environment, their tools, their support mecanisms so they can provide a better service and also make them have fun in such stressful job! kinda implementing the fish philosophy!!!!
I often listen to calls and a ha, you are right, many times it not that easy to provide a good service!
