Mornings at Sentosa Island

Morning at Sentosa Island

Due to some project I am currently working on, I will spend 5 days in Sentosa Island. Yes, I have to eventually come back to the office in the afternoon, but in the morning I wake up to see a great ocean view. (See pictures above)

GOSH I MISS the ocean! – I said this morning when I woke up and I saw all that water softly hitting the coastline, seagulls teasing the waves and the salty mist in the air. I heard myself saying that and I thought Dude, you live in an island. You are surrounded by ocean. So my conclusion is I have not been fair enough with this liking of mine. I have not been visiting the ocean as much as I would have liked to. Funny to think I lived 6 years in Mar del Plata, city by the ocean in Argentina where I did my studies. I used to even GO to study to the ocean (although not recommendable if windy of misty. Plus sand in your butt crack is not nice at all) :)

Anyway, just a comment. Gotta go to have breakfast. Scrambled eggs, ham and FINALLY some good cheese!

(Note: YES, I am alone in this big room!)

  • My friend once told me that SENTOSA actually stands for "So Expensive NoThing TO See Anyway". :P

  • Well… I tell you there is MUCH to see here.
    - I think the break down of the Acronym he came up with is fun and creative, however:
    - I think you are easily convinced of stuff (sort of a push over)
    - I think you have not been in Sentosa long enough to enjoy the facilities
    - I think Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa SPA is amazing
    - I think their food is one of the best I have ever had in Singapore
    - I think it is quite an interesting island especially since it is fully man-made yet provides entertainment for both Singaporean families and foreigners from all over the globe
    - I think there are certain things in life that have no price (like what MasterCard says) so unless your friend lives in REDANG, PHUKET or some CARIBBEAN ISLAND, he is soooooooooo not entitled to make such a comment. I tell you waking up facing onto the sea is pretty FU**ING AWESOME, you know?

    Finally, and with all due respect, I think your friend’s opinion SUCKS! :)

    But this is me, and I think too much. Maybe your friend is right.
    (GEE… I am thinking too much these days… I should stop thinking)

  • I'm thinking of going to sentosa tmr. decided to come online and google blogs for sentosa, get the real feedback, not the descriptn that marketing pple are paid to put up. glad you enjoyed it, hope i will too.
